About
プロフィール
Working with mineral pigments, silver and gold leaf, ink, and washi paper—materials passed down for over a thousand years—she paints intuitively rather than formally. Her subjects are the presence of plants, fragments of memory, and the subtle movements of emotion: an attempt to capture what lies unseen beneath the visible.
岩絵具、銀箔、金箔、墨、和紙——千年を超えて受け継がれてきた素材を 用いながら、形式にとらわれず、即興的に描く。主題は、植物の気配、 記憶の断片、感情のゆらぎ。目に見えるものの奥にある、見えないものの 存在をすくいとろうとしている。
At the heart of her practice is a gaze toward the beauty that dwells within transience. Silver leaf tarnishes with time, shifting in color; she embraces this change as part of the work itself. What she seeks to hold on the surface is not a finished moment, but time as it continues to pass.
制作の根底にあるのは「変わりゆくものの中に宿る美しさ」への眼差しである。 銀箔は時とともに硫化し、色を変える。その変化もまた作品の一部として 受け入れる。完成した瞬間ではなく、移ろい続ける時間そのものを画面に 留めたいと考えている。
Perhaps it is within shadow that the truth of the unseen resides.
影の中にこそ、見えないものの真実があるのかもしれない。
